February is the perfect month to turn our focus to the CORRECT trait of OPTIMISM. As we continue our "Talk It, Walk It, Pass It On" campaign- the school is packed full of activities that keep our focus on living and learning the CORRECT way.
With the season's frigid blast, and indoor activities in full swing, it is the time many of us get those winter blues! Perfect timing to work-out our OPTIMISM muscles. Our CORRECT Crusaders led by Kid Courageous and Cousin Correct have been guiding us with announcements and activities reminding us that we need COURAGE to make the right choices and OPTIMISM to change challenges into opportunities and be the best we can be!
Fridays are super special days during our CORRECT campaign, they are the days that you can hear the entire school singing our CORRECT song..... We're actually getting pretty good at it! Our classroom buddies make the day even more special as we learn more about each of our core values. It is exciting to see the energy and excitement of our younger students working side by side with our upstairs middle schoolers. Just wait until you see those "bucket" notes! They're sure to brighten your day. Stay tuned.... we have lots more to cover... get ready for RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, EMPATHY, CITIZENSHIP, and TRUSTWORTHINESS.
7th and 8th Grade News: The Pasta Dinner is coming! We had our first organizational parent meeting for our annual Pasta Dinner.
SAVE the DATE!!! Wednesday, March 27 (snow date March 28)
We are asking each 7th/8th grade student to bring in 2 boxes of penne, 2 jars of Alfredo sauce, and a 12 pack of soda/iced tea. We are also looking for donations of marinara and meet sauce. Please contact me if you are able to make sauce or if you know of a business or restaurant that would like to assist us with supplies. Remember, many hands make light work.
